What is an Email Outbox?

An email outbox is where your emails go before they’re actually sent. Once you hit “Send,” the email sits in your outbox while your email provider works on delivering it. If something goes wrong, the email stays there until it can be sent.

Why do emails get stuck in the outbox?

  • No internet connection: Your email client can’t reach the mail server.
  • Large attachments: Some email providers limit file sizes.
  • SMTP server issues: Your email provider may be experiencing delays.
  • Authentication problems: Incorrect settings can prevent sending.

How to fix a stuck email

  • Check your internet connection.
  • Reduce attachment size or use a cloud storage link.
  • Verify SMTP settings in your email client.
  • Try resending manually or restarting your email app.

A stuck outbox can be frustrating, but in most cases, a simple connection reset or settings adjustment will get your email moving again.
