What are Leads?

A lead is a potential customer who has shown interest in your product or service. Leads can come from website visits, newsletter sign-ups, cold emails, or referrals.

Types of leads

  • Cold leads: No prior interaction with your brand.
  • Warm leads: Have shown interest (maybe they’re downloaded a guide or clicked an ad).
  • Hot leads: Actively looking for a solution and ready to buy.

Not all leads are worth pursuing, unfortunately. Using lead scoring and tracking engagement levels helps sales teams focus on the best opportunities.
